Ignialight uses a PC (phosphor-converted) Amber LED, which eliminates the peak emission level at 440 nm to maintain high efficiency levels (135 lm/W).

In temperature colours in the white light ranges (6500K, 4000K, 3000K), there is a peak emission level of 440 nm that affects light pollution and nocturnal wildlife. The peak emission level disappears n PC Amber LED lighting (~1800K), which significantly reduces the level of light pollution.

Impact on nocturnal wildlife

Most animal life, fauna and insects are adapted to live in the nocturnal darkness where they can hide from their predators, feed, hunt and reproduce. Many species are sensitive to blue light radiation, whereas the orange light emitted by PC Amber LEDs is practically invisible to them, does not interfere with their life cycles or migratory habits.


Better lighting rather than more is needed

Our society needs lighting. For years, lighting has been unchecked, excessive, and quite often no efforts have been made to seek the most efficient and environmentally friendly technology. The time has come to raise awareness about this and to protect the environment using the most efficient technology to do so.
